Top 5 Causes of Your Fatigue

1. Low or high thyroid function (thyroid dysfunction)The thyroid gland is a butterfly shaped gland located in your neck. Thyroid hormone regulates your metabolism. Fatigue is a major symptom your thyroid is out of balance, it can happen in both hypo and hyperthyroidism. Getting a thorough thyroid panel will help you to determine if this is cause of your fatigue. Ask for the following labs: TSH, Free T3, Free T4, TPO, Thyroid autoantibody, Reverse T3. Also ask for a test of the nutrients that help your thyroid to function better such as: ferritin, vitamin D, B12. If these nutrients are low they are another reason for fatigue. 2. Is a Leaky Gut Contributing to Your Health Problems?

The gut is the gateway to health. If your gut is healthy, chances are that you're in good health. However, there's a condition called leaky gut that can lead to a host of health problems. What is a leaky gut? The gut is naturally permeable to very small molecules in order to absorb these vital nutrients. Detoxification and Your Health

Our bodies detox continuously as a natural function. It's only when our detox mechanisms become overloaded that the process becomes less efficient and symptoms may occur. Toxins may be internal or external in origin. Pollution or pesticides in our food source put undue stress on our detox organs, the kidneys and liver. Improper digestion and imbalanced gut ecology provide internal forms of toxins in the way of metabolic by-products stemming from certain bacteria which have toxic side effects and therefore have a negative impact on overall health by compromising detox pathways. It has been suggested that toxic overload contributes to more serious conditions such as auto- immune diseases, inflammatory/rheumatoid arthritis and neurological disorders such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. The goal of a program is to gently and slowly cleanse your body of toxins that add an extra burden so serious diseases like these can be avoided. A healthy program should turn your liver into a healthy, cleansing machine.
