The Vaccine Balancing Act

I often have patients come in with questions about vaccinations: should they vaccinate their child and if so when, what are the alternatives to vaccination, what happens if their child gets one of the diseases? I must admit I have been unsure myself about what the best answer is. I usually advise patients that if they don't vaccinate they must breastfeed for a minimum of 2 yrs along with doing immune support. I also tell parents that if their child gets one of the childhood diseases they need to be comfortable with that and have a game plan.

PLAC Testing: Better Indicator of Stroke or Heart Attack

The PLAC test is the only blood test cleared by the FDA to aid in assessing risk for coronary heart disease and ischemic stroke. The PLAC test is a blood test that measures the level of Lp- PLA2, an enzyme associated with inflammation of the arteries. Increased levels of Lp-PLA2 increases your risk of having a heart attack or stroke.
