One of the most important pillars to better health. Lack of sleep causes problems with our Testosterone, Estrogen, Progesterone, and Cortisol, Our stress and adaptability hormone.⁠
⁠
Lack of sleep also decreases dopamine levels in the brain, increases risks of dementia, early Alzheimer's, forgetfulness and moodiness.⁠

Key steps to Improve Your Sleep:⁠
⁠
1) Set a scheduled bed and wake time for each day. And stick to it. Keeping your bed and waking time the same each day NO MATTER what happens each day is key to getting the amount of rest and recovery you need to establish strong brain, hormone and cardiovascular performance. ⁠

2) Getting at least 8 hours each night is key to keeping HRV (heart rate variability) high. HRV is a marker for the adaptability of your heart and thus your physiology’s ability to adapt. We are losing our ability to adapt to the stressors of everyday life. This is evident in everyone from millennials to boomers and especially in my generation, Gen X. ⁠
